What a bizarre leaflet.
ReplyDeleteUp to page 7 I was ok with it.
At pages 8 and 9 I started to become confused.
By page 10 alarm had set in.
I was left feeling patronised and lacking confidence in the Secretary of States commitment to the Equality Act.
My view:
The equality act is 1 year old. Legislation was deemed necessary to drive through these changes. I wish to know how well public bodies are following the rules AND how well they are giving equality.
If the rules are found not to be effective in giving equality then they need to be revised. It is premature to say "Public bodies can set their own goals now".
